Wife charged in Seffner man's fatal shooting

SEFFNER, Florida - Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives have charged the wife of 33-year-old Ervin Washington, who was found shot to death outside their home, with his murder.

Detectives say around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Washington called his mother from the Walmart on Hwy 92 and told her his wife, Emon Kellar, stabbed him and flattened all four tires of his truck. His mother came and picked him up and took him to her house where she treated him for his stab wound.

"Bank Bag Bandit" sentenced to 27 years in prison

Tampa, Florida -- A Palm Harbor man, also known as the "Bank Bag Bandit" who committed five armed bank robberies in three counties, was sentenced Monday to 27 years in federal prison in connection with the crimes.

As part of sentence, the United States Attorney's Office says David Dwindell was ordered to forfeit over $13,700, which is traceable to proceeds of the offense and to pay over $38,000 in restitution which is the amount stolen from the banks.

Man charged in double murder was victims' friend

Seffner, Florida -- Two buddies were found bludgeoned to death over the weekend in their Seffner mobile home.

Twenty-four-year-old Josh Deas and 34-year-old Kenny Simmons were discovered by Josh's mom, Karen, on Sunday. One body was found in the hallway, the other in the living room.

Sadly, detectives say, it was their friend, Charles Anthony Foster, who is accused of murdering the young men with an ax.

Man robs 2 pharmacies of drugs

Tampa, Florida -- Deputies are on the lookout for a man who robbed two pharmacies in four days and tried to rob another.

Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies say on March 22, the man entered the CVS Pharmacy, on Dale Mabry Hwy North in Tampa, went to the pharmacy counter and demanded narcotics. After receiving a bag filled with pills, he fled the pharmacy on foot.

On March 26, police believe the same man entered the Walgreens Pharmacy on Highway 579 in Tampa, went to the pharmacy counter and demanded narcotics. The clerk refused and he ran off.

Investigation continues in Seffner double murder case

Seffner, Florida -- Hillsborough Sheriff's detectives continue to investigate what appears to be a double homicide in a Seffner neighborhood Monday.

Authorities say around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, the mother of one of the victims found her son's and his roommate's bodies in their trailer in the 1000 block of North Parsons Avenue.

Preliminary evidence showed the two men, identified as 24-year-old Joshua Deas and 34-year-old Kenneth Simmons, suffered blunt trauma to their bodies.

3 teens busted in graffiti tagging spree

Brandon, Florida -- Three teenagers were arrested Thursday for their role in a graffiti spree that hit 13 different areas throughout the central Brandon area.

Hillsborough Sheriff's officials say the graffiti spree has been going on since May 2012 with the tags "Swingset", "Dash", "Krast", and "Rayek" showing up on business walls, fences, street signs, traffic boxes and a utility trailer.

BRANDON, Florida -- Neighbors say they didn't hear the shots fired, or the police cruisers that followed.

"It was very quiet," says neighbor Courtney Dagou. "It's like it didn't even happen."

But what the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says did happen: 70-year-old Ralph Wald walked out of his bedroom late Sunday night at 513 Clara Drive and found his 42-year-old wife having sex with another man, 32-year-old Walter Lee Conley.
